Artist Randy C. Bonds designed this Round21 FreeStyle drop by transforming pieces from the Round21 for Mexican National Team collection into a two-piece ensemble inspired by the energy and spirit of soccer. Built from breathable perforated jersey fabric, the look features architectural cross-pleated culottes paired with a coordinating upcycled jersey top that incorporates Jim Escobedo's Orgullo and "Mexicano" graphics, reimagined through Randy's lens of upcycling, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling.

Through upcycling, reconstruction, and cultural storytelling, Randy reimagines familiar materials into something entirely new. The result is a wearable expression of movement, confidence, and identity that honors where we come from while encouraging us to move forward with purpose.

“Orgullo en Movimiento was inspired by my lifelong admiration for soccer and the movement, discipline, and confidence it demands. Although I didn't have the opportunity to play growing up, the sport's energy has always stayed with me and later found new expression through fashion. For me, this piece is about more than movement on the pitch—it's about moving with purpose, honoring where you come from, and wearing your confidence with pride.”

THE ARTIST:

Randy C. Bonds is the founder and creative force behind Maison Bonds & Stitch, an emerging fashion house rooted in storytelling, craftsmanship, and upcycled design. A multidisciplinary creative with a background in storytelling, branding, and creative strategy, Randy believes clothing should do more than make a statement—it should make you look twice, become the conversation, and be art in motion.

Having entered fashion less than a year ago through The Black Design Collective, Randy approaches every garment as a work of wearable art, blending architectural silhouettes, sustainability, and cultural storytelling into pieces that leave a lasting impression. He extends special thanks to TJ Walker, Co-Founder of The Black Design Collective and Cross Colours, for not only seeing potential in him, but also creating the opportunity to grow as a designer and storyteller.
