Artist KG designed this Round21 FreeStyle drop by deconstructing and reconstructing the Round21 Sporty Mesh Jersey into a vibrant patchwork statement piece. Built through asymmetry, raw edges, layered textures, and sustainably sourced materials, the piece embraces the beauty found in imperfection and individuality. Every detail was cut and sewn by hand, transforming an everyday jersey into something entirely new.

THE ARTIST:
KG is originally from Huntsville, AL and is currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. KG has her BFA in fashion design from the Chadwick A.Boseman College of Fine Arts and has been designing since 2012. Additionally, she is a proud alumna of FSF’s Post Modern Virgil Abloh Scholars and Gucci Changemakers. Her focus in upcycle design helps her approach constructing garments from a perspective that plays around with texture, silhouette & color. Furthermore, she is passionate about sustainable fashions to extend the clothing lifestyle by formulating pieces that are timeless and bold. KG hopes to impact the youth to embrace authenticity and help build their confidence through their closets by curating closets that are a reflection of their identity.
