In partnership with artist Fiorella, we're dropping a 1-of-1 artist edition named "Petalball," custom made by Artist Fiorella in partnership with round21. round21 is thrilled to partner with Fiorella for the first time, now with a special edition FreeStyle original piece.

STORY:

In collaboration with Round21 and The Gist, Artist Fiorella introduces a unique fusion of sports and art: the "Petalball" basketball is adorned with bold, vibrant flowers inspired by the artist's belief that basketball is not just a game, but a canvas for creativity and self-expression. Each flower represents the unique game of every player, celebrating their distinctiveness and contribution to the game. As someone named "Fiorella," meaning "little flower" in Italian, the artist wanted to infuse her own personality into the artwork, adding a personal touch to this collaboration. Through this product, Fiorella aims to showcase the beauty and diversity of basketball while highlighting the importance of representation and inclusivity in sports. Her hope is that this FreeStyle drop reminds us all of the power of art and athletics to unite and inspire.

THE ARTIST:

Fiorella is a passionate, multidisciplinary designer and former basketball player from Lima, Peru, with a background in architecture, graphic design, and creative illustration. Her canon of work spans from pioneering the design of Canada's inaugural WNBA court, to proposal improvements in South American settlements and more.
