STORY:
This piece is a collaboration with my youngest daughter, Parker Dash. We’ve been painting together since she was a baby, and our signature “Flowers and Clouds” style was born from Sunday brunch sessions and where we get to draw on the table and somehow we always drawing flowers and clouds and it’s just became something they we both enjoy drawing.
THE ARTIST:
My name is Shelton Hawkins. I am a father, artist, and former Division I college basketball coach that has transformed my love for hoops and creativity into a global movement, with painting basketball courts around the world. My work lives at the intersection of sport, community, and expression. I always had a passion for storytelling through art. I definitely bring color, culture, and meaning to every project that we do. I’m living proof that you don’t have to make it to the NBA to get to the league.
